Lee Wells is Policy Lead – Commercial at Northern Powergrid. He has over 19 years of experience in the energy industry with Northern Powergrid and currently leads on commercial policy/regulatory matters.
He has been heavily involved in the evolution of the methodology for calculating Use of System Charges, in particular playing a leading role implementing Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review Significant Code Review and Access and Forward-Looking Charges Significant Code Review (the latter primarily focusing on Connection Charges).
The majority of his career has involved working in a role focused on code governance (across various codes, such as the DCUSA, CUSC and BSC) and regulatory matters (e.g. licence changes).
