As part of Ofgem's Code Governance Review, the Code Administrator Code of Practice was established which aims to provide a consistent approach and level of service across associated Code Modifications. It contains 13 principles to facilitate convergence and transparency in Code Modificaiton processes and to help protect the interests of small market participants and consumers. Principle 1 - Code Administrators shall be Critical Friends Principle 2 - Documentation publised by Code Administrators shall be in clear English Principle 3 - Information wll be promptly and publicly available to users Principle 4 - This Code of Practice will be reviewed periodically and subject to amendment by users Principle 5 - Code Administrators shall support processes which enable users to access a 'pre-Modification' process to discuss and develop Modifications Principle 6 - The Proposer of a Modification will retain ownership of the detail of their solution Principle 7 - Code Administrators will facilitate alternative solutions to issues being developed to the same degree as an original soltuion Principle 8 - Estimates of implementation costs to central systems will be produces and consulted upon prior to a Modification being recommended for approval Principle 9 - Legal text will be produced and consulted upon prior to a Modification being recommended for approval Principle 10 - Modifications will be consulted upon and easily accessible to users, who will be given reasonable time to respond Principle 11 - There will be flexibility for implementation, to allow proportionate delivery time and realisation of benefits Principle 12 - The Code Administrators will report annually on an agreed metrics Principle 13 - Code Administrators will ensure cross Code co-ordination to progress changes efficiently where Modifications impact multiple Codes

The Chair and Secretariat services for the CACoP changes every 12 months between each Code Administrator in alphabetical order per Code. From 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018, this will be the responsibility of DCUSA.
